On Roads

I find roads to be underrated and taken for granted. Current urban planning discourse is centred around walkability but I believe we forget how much of a privilege roads, especially in developed western nations such as the United States, are. One can drive from A to B on a smooth path with minimal disruption. Let us not forget the extended road network in some countries which can literally span throughout entire biomes.

This is a privilege to be taken advantage of. A touring of natural scenery for the cost of time and fuel. Signs inform us where the lane is leading us to ahead-of-time.
